As a Senior Indirect Tax Compliance Analyst, you will help ensure we meet our indirect tax obligations across the US, Canada, and selected non-US jurisdictions in a fast-moving SaaS environment. Reporting to the Multinational Tax Manager, you will own core indirect tax compliance work end to end, support cross-functional partners on tax questions tied to new transactions and product changes, and improve how the work gets done through stronger automation, controls, and system design. This is a role with broad scope and clear ownership: in your first year, you will strengthen filing and reconciliation processes, maintain accurate tax determination frameworks, and help evolve key workflows in tools like Avalara, NetSuite, and Zuora, including AI-enabled improvements to the US sales and use tax process.
The Tax team sits within Finance and manages global tax compliance, reporting, and advisory for GitLab Inc. and its subsidiaries. Within that group, the indirect tax function owns global indirect tax obligations in more than 50 jurisdictions (across US, Canada, EMEA and APAC). This role works in a lean team structure with broad ownership and close partnership across Finance, Legal, Sales, and Billing, using asynchronous collaboration to support work across regions and changing regulatory requirements. The team is focused on building scalable compliance processes, improving system accuracy, and adapting to new legislative and operational demands as GitLab grows.
