Job Description

Figma is growing our team of passionate creatives and builders on a mission to make design accessible to all. Figma’s platform helps teams bring ideas to life—whether you're brainstorming, creating a prototype, translating designs into code, or iterating with AI. From idea to product, Figma empowers teams to streamline workflows, move faster, and work together in real time from anywhere in the world. If you're excited to shape the future of design and collaboration, join us!

We're looking for a Workplace Generalist to join our San Francisco hub and play a critical role in shaping an exceptional in-office experience for Figmates and visitors. As part of the Workplace team, you will ensure our space is welcoming, well-maintained, and operationally excellent. You'll support daily facilities operations, vendor partnerships, on-site events, and office programs that bring our culture to life.

This role moves quickly and requires someone who brings sharp attention to detail, strong customer service instincts, and calm, organized thinking when priorities compete. You'll work closely with partners across the Workplace, People, Security, and IT teams, as well as with external vendors.

This is a full-time, in-person role based in our San Francisco hub.

What you’ll do at Figma:

  • Conduct daily walkthroughs to ensure a clean, safe, and well-organized workplace environment.
  • Own day-to-day workplace operations, identifying and implementing improvements that enhance efficiency and the employee experience.
  • Manage the workplace ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution, clear communication, and consistent follow-through.
  • Coordinate office repairs, maintenance, and vendor partnerships, escalating issues as needed.
  • Support and manage onsite programs including food, snack, and beverage services.
  • Oversee office supply inventory, restocking, organization, and ordering for shared spaces.
  • Support space planning, furniture moves, and layout updates, partnering with internal teams as needed.
  • Assist with internal events, offsite coordination, health & safety protocols, and workplace budgeting support.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • 2+ years of experience in workplace operations, facilities, or office management — ideally within a high-growth startup or tech environment, including experience supporting executive-level stakeholders.
  • Track record of delivering excellent customer or employee-facing service, with the ability to stay sharp and composed in high-volume, high-demand environments.
  • Proven experience managing vendors, workplace programs, and day-to-day facilities operations, with a solution-oriented and proactive approach.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills, including the ability to clearly document processes and prioritize competing requests.
  • Proven ability to work independently and cross-functionally, taking ownership of competing priorities and exercising sound judgment in a fast-moving environment.

While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:

  • Event Management experience
  • Project Management experience
  • CPR/AED Certification
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
