Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

Stripe's Workplace team is responsible for delivering welcoming, functional, and beautiful environments worldwide. We ensure that Stripe's real estate portfolio evolves to stay aligned with our mission and the needs of our users, while also ensuring efficient space utilization. As part of the team, you'll help scale Stripe's future workspaces, collaborating with stakeholders across the company.

What you'll do

As a Workplace Space Planner, your focus will be on ensuring our offices are utilized efficiently, implementing space programs tailored to each location. You'll contribute to making Stripe's workspaces effective and functional, by engaging with various stakeholders to optimize space usage, refine processes, and enhance tools.

We're looking for an organized, adaptable, and detail-oriented person who appreciates strategic workplace planning. With Stripe's rapid growth, you'll play a vital role in managing and maximizing workspace utilization across our global facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate floor plan documentation across the portfolio, coordinating with local operations managers to keep occupancy information current
  • Create architectural test fits, stack plans, block plans, and phasing plans
  • Develop and document processes related to space planning and occupancy management
  • Manage our CAFM system to enable effective workplace design decision making
  • Develop occupancy analysis reports and floor plan visualizations to communicate space utilization, occupancy ratios, and headcount projections
  • Analyze space requirements and interdepartmental relationships to ensure efficient use of office space
  • Develop and implement comprehensive space planning strategies aligned with company goals
  • Conduct regular inspections of office spaces and identify improvements or modifications
  • Support tooling for desk reservations and improve current assigned desk program
  • Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities related to office space utilization
  • Create block plans to establish team neighborhoods in each office to support team collaboration

Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred
  • 3+ years in architecture, interior design, or space planning
  • Proficiency in architectural and engineering drawings
  • Problem-solving interest using technology and creative thinking
  • Self-starter who is adaptable, customer-focused, and able to drive results with minimal supervision
  • A working knowledge of CAFM systems (e.g., SpaceIQ, Archibus, iOffice, SpaceView, Serraview, and OfficeSpace), REVIT, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and Google Suite
  • Proficiency in process improvements
  • Experience building strong collaborative working relationships
  • Experience with planning and executing internal moves, furniture installations, and office relocations

Preferred qualifications

  • Expertise in generating reports on seat supply and demand
  • Experience translating data into business rationale for design and space planning changes
  • Ability to manage contracts and vendors
