The Opportunity
We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Civil Construction Worker, with a strong preference for someone with proven pipelaying and drainage experience, to join our high achieving and fast paced Civil team working on a range of projects in the sought-after picturesque region of Marlborough.
What you’ll bring to the table
Ideally you have a background and experience in civil drainage/construction and can deliver quality workmanship. You are motivated, productive and share the same respect we do for creating a safe working environment.
- Class 1 licence, Class 2 or 4 preferred
- WTR endorsements
- Connexis Level 3 Certificate in Water Reticulation or similar (would be an advantage but not essential)
- Experience in 3 waters and road construction
- A can-do attitude and the ability to problem solve
- An unwavering commitment towards safety with a safety record to match
Role Accountabilities
This role includes performing a wide range of drainage construction projects including:
- Installing new or completing maintenance of existing water mains throughout the network
- Network sewer, water and stormwater main renewals and upgrades
- PE pipeline and connections requiring electro-fusion and butt welding
- Assisting with excavation, backfilling, compaction and reinstatement
- Supporting general road construction and associated civil works
